Genealogy Records Handbook for the Province of Latina

As you can see from the sidebar on the right this book is now available for purchase.

The Province of Latina lost many valuable civil, military and other records when the Tribunal in Cassino was bombed during WW2. Many Latina towns were in key positions for the German army and those towns also suffered document losses.

All 33 towns in the Province are included, each listing providing the address, email and telephone numbers of the town and parish church.

Each town has a detailed inventory of civil and military records available for researchers.  It itemizes which records can be found on line and which must be accessed at the town level.

3 towns in Latina declined to provide an inventory of their records.

Parish information is included with most providing an inventory of their records.

There is also detailed information in the Provincial and State Archives, and also the Diocese archives.

The book for Latina, having fewer towns left lots of space for RESEARCH GUIDANCE and has 100 pages dedicated to explanations of documents, their purpose and tips on researching that you won’t find in other publications.

This book is also a ‘work in progress’ and as new information on town and parish inventories becomes available updates will be provided at angelresearch.net.
