1921 Census of Sora (FR)

The census as known in both North America and Canada does not exist in Italy. An alphabetical list of Heads of Households (with paternity) is now available for the town of Sora.  This census was created in 1921 listing Head of household, other members of household, profession, and dates of birth, and includes the address for most records.  It was then used as a ‘State of the Family’ for the next 10 years and is invaluable for identifying possible living relatives.  It includes death dates and occasionally information on family members who emigrated to USA and other countries.  If, after consulting the index, you want to view the actual record there is a charge for the digital image.  If you want to consult the index, please email me directly at italysearch@gmail.com.

  1. Hi I am trying to get certificates for my great grandfather for an Italian passport application. He was born c1868, I think in Belmonte Castello. He was called Philippe Vettraino. On 6 November 1895 he married Concetta Jannetta “in Italy”. This information is in my grandfathers birth record in Scotland. I think Concetta was born around 1868/9 in Belmonte Castello. I think Philippe is an English version of his name. I believe my great grandparents returned to Belmonte Castello after 1911 (they were in the Scottish 1911 census, but not the 1921 and there are no death records for them). The family house was there until the 1970s or 1980s. How much do your services cost please
